So with the growing numbers of Mac users out there...

...you'd think that more and more companies might start catering to us more.

My daughter wanted to have some prints made from her digital camera, so I had her upload them to my snapfish account. But a couple of them have red-eye that she'd like to get rid of. Fine. We look in the Help section and it gives instructions for doing so. Except the menu item to which they refer isn't there. After more exploring, I see that it requires a small piece of their software which states...drumroll please... Operating System: Windows 98/2000/Me/XP
(We're sorry: Snapfish PhotoShow is not available for Apple Computers.)

Yeah, yeah, we could try fixing the red-eye in iPhoto or Photoshop Elements, and we could order prints directly from iPhoto, but that's a highter cost per print and we can't take advantage of the many free shipping or free print specials from snapfish, shutterfly, winkflash and the like. Are there any out there that have Mac friendly software?

Sometimes it's just frustrating, but I guess I'll take that trade-off for the benefit of not even thinking about virii, etc.

So what's wrong with taking the pics, fixing them in iPhoto, THEN uploading them to this Snapfish thing to have 'em printed?

Or did you just want to complain? smiling smiley

Wow, great minds think alike, eh? :-)

I guess I did just want to complain about the extra steps involved. Seems like I often encounter things that require a multistep process on the Mac where a one step process exists for Winblows.

And as long as I'm in a complaining mood, why wouldn't they design the red-eye fix in iPhoto to make a circle rather than a square? It is red-eye reduction, not red-box reduction.

Okay, I'm done. Thanks for indulging me.

iPhoto 5.0.4 has a better red-eye fixer. No more blocks.

Click red-eye icon, center cursor on red area, and click.

Version 5.0.4! Where the hell have I been? I just checked and I'm using version 2. D'oh!

I'm betting 5.0.4 is available only in iLife?
