"Animals Make the Perfect Humans"

I spotted this on CNN and read it. I love it, and I think there are a number of others here who will appreciate it, too. It's a commentary piece in which humans are compared to animals, particularly dogs, cats, and horses.

Enjoy. smiling smiley

"Give thanks that your cat does not own a credit card. Aren't you sorry you do?"

Sure - but don't trust your dogs with your credit card

Dog buys 5,000 Xbox points

BTW - these remind me of one of my all time favorite dog quotes (thought about using it for my sig)

"If there are no dogs in heaven, then when I die, I want to go where they went"

- Will Rogers

<<Your dog is a great food tester. If she won't eat it, you'd better not either.>>

However, be careful with the converse of that.
Our little puppy likes to hunt for deer poop (and I'm not talking about the two-legged ones). Rabbit, too, I think.

That's always been one of my favorites, too.

Some humans are extremely offended to think that animals are anything but properties, i.e. chairs, tables, etc. There are laws protecting that belief.

Can I sue that cat that didn't come home because the old lady next door was feeding it sardines ?
It wants back in in January and February when it's too cold to sleep outside in the neighbor's abandoned dog house, but the rest of the year kibbles aren't good enough.

I'm not buying sardines and I'm not sitting out in a lawn chair all day scratching a cat. :-)

Well, I'd think so, although I don't know how often "alienation of affection" is used in cases like this. I would, though, sue the old lady instead of the cat, because she's probably got more money than the cat. smiling smiley

"Dogs have owners; cats have staff."

Very true!

My favorite:
Dogs think of humans, "They feed me. They must be gods." Cats think, "They feed me. I must be a god."
