Have the 3G iPhone. Recorded a series of voice memos of a speaker that seemingly max out around 39 minutes which is fine. Problem is I want to "share" them from my iPhone to my Mac. It gives you two options... email or mms. It tells me the memos are too long for either when I try and asks if i want to trim them. No, I don't as I don't know if once trimmed they will lose the trimmed off data or if it will break it down into multiple memos.

Does anyone have any info regarding this? Or suggestions? Thanks!

when you sync your phone in itunes, they'll get transferred over to itunes. You can then use them however you'd like.

oh--and I think they only limitation on recording length is the amount of free space available on your iphone. I recorded a wedding ceremony with my iphone and it was about 1 hr and 20 minutes long.

Thanks... I'll try the sync. I just didn't see that it would doit when I looked at iTunes when i plugged the phone in to the Mac.

Mine seemed to stop recording right around 39 minutes. Then I hit record again and it allowed for another 39 minutes. I still showed aboyt 4GB's left so I don't know why it was cutting off at 39.

Hmmm, ran the sync and I'm not seeing the memos anywhere? Any help?

Mine show up in a folder called Voice Memos on my main os drive. I don't think I chose a location, so maybe that's the default location?

the files themselves are located at: [home/user folder] > Music > iTunes > iTunes Music > Voice Memos

they'll also show up in itunes with no artist, album or genre. Just look for tracks named by date/time, like: 9/23/09 9:14 AM

Weird, it's not there. I'm starting to wonder if the sync didn't function properly. I have the sync voice memos box checked. I'll run it again.
