Things to do in Nashville...

I will have to go to Nashville around the end of June to set up a satellite office for my current employer. I'll be downtown in the area of Demonbreun and 8th. Any TN regulars on the forum? I've never been to that part of the country and have no idea what Nashville is like.

/me wonders if there is an Apple store in Nashville...

Traffic on the interstates at rush hour can be really bad. The people are friendly. The music scene is not all country music. The tea at restaurants might be sweet by default.

Music Row, Twitty City, Dollywood. Some crazy guy built a replica of the white house. Can't remember where it is. Grand Ol' Opry. Gruin Guitars. Check out Broadway for the Nashville you never hear or read about. The Waffle House. I was there a long time ago. If you work out at the downtown Y everyone there is in the music biz. Nice town.

Dollywood is in Pigeon Forge, TN. That's 3.5 hours from Nashville.

The Bluebird Cafe is one of the premier venues in the world to see singer-songwriters in a true "listening room."

Everything from folk to alt-country to contemporary singer-songwriter stuff. A lot of times they'll have 3-4 artist performing in the round.

There's a replica of the Parthenon.

You might try to get tickets to whatever's playing in the Ryman Auditorium.
