here come the cross posts

I've noticed a few cross posts from the other place. Guess it makes sense since some people said they abandoned the other place (voluntary or not!). But, wait til you get the one about help me select a luxury car. I think I am going to throw up!

Wait until you see the ones that go "three across."

I don't get posters that work it like a media saturation campaign.

That's funny, I thought of "cross" as in "I'm so cross."

It's annoying, and I'll admit, I'm one a few posts down from this one. But it's been kind of like a divorce. A few friends here, a few friends there. It's the only way to get advice from both.

I just wanted to make sure everyone new about my free panties smiling bouncing smiley

And, seriously now, the deal originated "over there", so I felt like they were owed a follow up.

Newton gets a pass, special circumstances like rgG and the important panties, but the rest a yous, knock it off.

I actually don't give a carp, but MY policy will be to only post things over there that have failed to get a satisfactory answer over here (not humor-only posts). Writing a witty post should be enough reward, no need to try and maximize one's exposure.

What is so bad about cross-posting? I did it when I wanted to hear from as many owners of the SD200 as possible. I did it when I had a funny item I thought worth sharing.

I consider internet forums a resource, and I will use them as I see fit, not as somebody else tries to dictate.

The panties are always free. It's what they're stuffed with that's so damned expensive.

seriously and not meant to be rude but if a person can still go to the "other" place to read the cross-post, then what is wrong with cross-posting itself?

besides the subject would be the same right?

so, when one sees it. . .a second time. . .don't click on it, maybe?

There's nothing at all wrong with it. Some people just enjoy complaining.

No problem here. Post away. No harm in utilizing all the resources at your disposal. Do you only visit ONE dealership when looking for a car? Or something equally important??

I didn't think so . . .

drinking smiley cheers... and post away . . .

So no cross-posting at different places in the same forum either less it's an honest mistake, right?

I think the whole idea of complaining about cross-posts is silly and contradictory. I mean, how do you even know there are any cross posts if you are not frequenting both forums? And if you're reading a forum, you shouldn't complain if someone posts to it.

I haven't been posting much in either place lately because I haven't had time to, but there's surely no harm in posting wherever and whenever you want. I did sneak a peek at what's going on over at the other place for a few minutes before coming here today, and I was amazed at how things have deteriorated there. There doesn't seem to be much substance there anymore. There seems to be a lack of direction, aimlessness, and it's pretty obvious the talent's left the building.
