Weird screen Negative effect on laptop?
Posted by: h linamen

Son just called and has a strange effect on his MacBook screen. Colors are fine on his screen up to the point that he signs on and then the screen goes to what he describes as a negative effect. Light colors go dark and dark colors go light. I know this description is lacking, but any thoughts what might be wrong. He shut down, restarted and the process repeats itself.... colors, desktop normal until he signs in and then the negative effect again?

Universal Access in system preferences. Set to black on white.

People trigger it accidentally by typing control-option-command-8.

That's a lot of pesto.

OS has nothing to do with it. Universal Access has been around since at least 10.4, maybe earlier.

H1N1 is just foolin'. However, I will pretend the question is serious. I'm pretty sure Universal Access kicks in only once you log into the specific user account.
