Time Warner Retention Department, again

Every year, Time Warner raises my rates. This time from 72 bucks to 104 bucks for Internet and TV. NO PHONE.

Last year, and maybe the year before, I call and get sent to their retention department. I claim that I am thinking of going with Verizon Fios, or Satelite.

I will, but it can be a hassel to switch. I am using a TIVO HD, with Cable Card.

Has anyone reupped lately and gotten them to give them the current GOOD DEALS ? I know they have a 33 33 33 = $99 for all three services, but not ready to give up landline I guess.

Bottom line, If I can keep it the same or below the current $72 that I currently pay, I would not change. Or if someone can convince me that I would be happier with FIOS, I still have that card to play in the future.

You have the option of FIOS and you're still with Time Warner?!? If I had FIOS in my area, I'd switch in a heartbeat. At least in my area, last I looked a couple weeks ago, Time Warner had a $75 internet/cable bundle if you committed to a two year agreement.

the most annoying thing about the ads that these companies run (i'm looking YOUR WAY, Verizon) is that they advertise the introductory rate, but never show the normal/full rate.

very deceptive, very sleazy.

I buy records. Getting rid of some? Let me know.

According to my neighbor, his price went up $40 after the promotional period.

Quick call to Verizon and they lowered it back to the promotional rate.

YMMV
