How can I do this easy
Posted by: Ironhorse

I have a 24" Aluminum iMac, Mac Mini and a new MBP 13" all running 10.6.4 and as I purchased them I used migration assistant to move all files to the newest Mac. I have been backing up all three to different HD partitions. Is there anyway to get all three synced so they are all the same.

Thanks

Dennis

I'd imagine that a bit of manual copying would be necessary for select files then use Carbon Copy Cloner & to overwrite the backups with the most recent, or primary computer.

I gave up on trying to keep my computers totally synced a long time ago.

BTW, that should read "how can I do this easily."

I have read that Micro$oft Live sync can do it for free and supposedly works well.
Now that I have said that--I need to go take a shower--I fell so unclean saying Micro$soft.

You don't need separate partitions if you use Time Machine--each Mac would have it's own backup folder.

dropbox is a nice way to keep a few files in Sync... but there is a limit of several gigs, unless you pay fore more space
