I have a Black Macbook that I was sharing with my wife. After getting a MBP she will be the owner of the Macbook. I want her to be the admin. and dump all my stuff including the XP on Bootcamp. Short of wiping the whole thing an starting all over how can I do this?

Thanks

If there's HD capacity to spare, just make a new admin account. It'll be like starting from scratch with (mostly) new pref's. System Pref's and the Boot Camp volume will remain unchanged.

You might be able to use the Disk Utility to remove the Boot Camp volume and resize the Mac volume on the HD, but that is not without risk. Do you have a clone/backup?

I do have a clone backup and space, but I don't need the bootcamp or XP on this Macbook. Plus I can't use the XP on the MBP because it is an OEM version of XP and can't be used on another computer.

Here's Apple's official advice on removing Boot Camp:

Confirm that your clone is up to date and bootable before attempting it.
