so, let's get this straight - Cheney and his ilk would have us believe that when Obamacare takes effect, one will have to wait even LONGER to get medical treatment such as this?

in that case, Cheney would have died? like from a DEATH PANEL?

Very hard to believe. I laugh at people who think that Cheney did the honorable thing and waited in line for 20 months until his turn came up. The filthy rich ALWAYS get better treatment than joe lunchbox and sally housecoat when it comes to issues such as this. That's what being filthy rich is all about.

My fantasy view of who Cheney is would have selected his donor from his secret archive of US surveillance information and had Halliburton operatives drag the donor kicking and screaming into the operating theater where they would have cut his heart out (a la Monty Python and the meaning of life) and spliced it into Dick while it was still beating.
