Bush Tax Cuts: George W. Wishes They Didn't Bear His Name

[news.yahoo.com]

"...former President George W. Bush said he wishes the "Bush tax cuts" had someone else's name attached to them because "if they were called somebody else's tax cuts they'd probably be less likely to be raised."

I guess he still lives in a bubble where he has no connection to reality.

If we had another person in charge during the time he was in office, we probably would not be in the bad shape we are in. Flat out, the worst president in our lifetime, bar none.

He's either a complete moron or a despicable liar or both. It's GWB himself who put a built in expiration date into his tax cuts.

That said, I sure wish he was right and that wiser heads would have eliminated them. They are the primary reason for the massive deficit run up in recent years.

His statement also reflects a great deal of narcissism. It seems beyond him that the tax cuts may have been a bad idea which has done harm. No, the only reason people want them to expire is because they're BUSH tax cuts.

Oh, yeah, and the out of control spending on entitlements to those who are too lazy to achieve success on their own has nothing to do with it?

Why is it necessary to punish the successful in order to control the deficit? This president is stifling the job creators with oppressive tax increases, which is keeping unemployment at record highs!

CUT. SPENDING. NOW!

Taxed Enuf Already!

Good morning. I will be playing the part of the wage slave who crusades for his boss' tax cut even though he is laying off people and increasing my work load and freezing my wages as his profits increase.
