The ex-candidate announced at the NRA’s annual meeting here Friday that he and his wife Karen have long been life members.

I find that very disturbing. The child may have little time left in this world, and is being used as a tool for this kind of political posturing.

Sometimes he seems to genuinely care about his daughter and sometimes it seems that he thinks of that sick little girl as nothing more than a political pawn.

This is one of the latter cases. Exploitative and in very bad taste.

well, thats one way to stay in the news cycle as you exit the presidential race.

Considering all of the children who are dead or injured lately because this organization objects to common sense safeguards?

The parents love shooting, own lots of guns, like the political work of this group. Fine, more power to 'em. Give to the group in your own name.

If a Democrat pulled this, the righties here and on the blogs would have a conniption. They give Santorum and all he does a big fat pass based on the party he belongs to, nothing else.
