The ducking and hiding is ratcheting up

This reminds me of the hand-picked attendants of the Bush years and how they ducked "hard" questions from the "liberal" press.

Could anyone that supports him let us know what you see in him? I have asked this question, repeatedly, but none of the Obama bashers (and likely, the supporters of Mitt) are dead silent.

Anything??

I don't see that as a 'coverup'. If you think political candidates aren't stage managed and protected to a fare thee well, you must have not paid much attention in the last, oh, 40 years.

Besides, the staff is busy shaking the Campaign Plan Etch-A-Sketch.

Ed: FWIW, I'm no longer a supporter of his. I'm not sure what I'm going to do this presidential election. I may register my disfavour by flushing my vote, like the time I voted for Ross Perot.

I agree with the "whiney rporters" comment. Why don't they go shout out a few hardball questions to Obama (who tends to hide out at exclusive $40K per plate fund raisers)?

And if you want to talk about coverups, what is Eric Holder hiding regarding Fast and Furious?

Don't know where you were living at the time (i.e., whether it mattered electorally), but Ross Perot got Bill Clinton elected in 1992, so don't discount the importance of voting for a crazy dude who liked to talk about farm animals!

Romney can thank his buddies Newt and Frothy and Ron "I'm not a Republican I just play one on TV" Paul for laying out the scenario for this election: Romney as an out-of-touch elitist who won't/can't mingle with the masses and has a tin ear for their concerns. Now the Democrats can just sit back and watch the blogs and op-ed writers, and yes the press or at least some of them, work their magic, same as happened to Al "Boring" Gore and John "Crazy" McCain.

When you cannot answer questions (talk about ducking!!!), you just make things up. Romney cannot answer any tough questions at all and resorts to nonsense such as the story that I linked to.

Every day that passes, I am more and more convinced that Swampy was NOT a teacher (sure as hell not a SPELLING teacher - note hilighted quoted word above).

Swampy or billb, how much do you make a year? Hope you make a lot as supporting a buffoon like Mitt, you will have to be rich to survive the disaster he will surely be.

As an aside, I initially responded to your original post, and then edited my posting to answer your question. Which did not specifically relate to the initial post.

Truly, if you desire to poll the assembled entertainers, you may wish to ask that question first.

And I say that as someone whose adult ADD (diagnosed with actual tests, which were fascinating) means that I have to work very hard to get past perhaps the first sentence.

I agree about whiny in this case but couldn't you have stopped there? You really want to get into fundraisers? And what about Fast and Furious? Are you wondering about Wide Receiver as well?

I don't see anything wrong with a politician refusing to take uninvited questions every once in awhile just so long as s/he's not in the habit of it.

When did Bush allow a tough question to come his way? He avoided the mainstream press (read: not Fox news) like the plague.

His administration were/are some of the most dishonest, most underhanded people ever to hold office in this country, yet were/are still defended based on their party, nothing else.

If Obama attempted some of the crap that Bush actually did, the righties would call for his head.

BTW, Romney will make a habit of avoiding anything but softball questions, just watch.

actually, Bush was famous for never having press conferences. The press went nuts over it. Seems that Obama is carrying on that tradition. I'm a little surprised that NO ONE is complaining (except me)

Obama really isn't all that great off the cuff. His halting delivery is maddening. But he compensates by doing a lot more one-on-ones with interviewing reporters, where he's much better. Bush II did very few of either.

Some candidates are comfortable with the press, others less so and with reason. That a candidate will 'use" the media to get his or her story out and then not submit to media questions addresses' the medias willingness to be used, not necessarily the candidates strategy.

They are, after all, entitled to a strategy of their own. He is, like Reagan so famously stated, paying for the mike.
