Federal regulators have approved the renewal of the operating license for the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station in Plymouth, which will allow it to continue operating for 20 years.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission said today it had authorized its staff to renew the license. The staff is expected to renew the license before it expires on June 8.
Entergy Corp., the Louisiana company that has run the plant since 1999, has sparked a raft of protests and lawsuits since it sought to renew its operating license.

German solar power plants produced a world record 22 gigawatts of electricity per hour—equal to 20 nuclear power stations at full capacity—through the midday hours on Friday and Saturday, the head of a renewable energy think tank said.
The German government decided to abandon nuclear power after the Fukushima nuclear disaster last year, closing eight plants immediately and shutting down the remaining nine by 2022.

Lux.. no... he was probably the best boss I've ever had in my life. Did three tours in Vietnam starting as an LT and ending as a Capt. Did a couple of Pentagon tours where he worked with all the spooky plans and methods. A very rational and intelligent person... had an MS in Electrical Engineering and an MBA.

You have propped up his reputation admirably, cbelt3, and i've no doubt he was a great guy.
A reliable source on international affairs? Maybe not so much. Never trust what a spook says right before he says 'you didn't hear that.' Either he's a good spook and he's propagandizing you, or he's a crappy spook and has just undermined himself by slipping up.
