Point by point, his assertions are nothing but smears. If it were true that if you were born "born outside of the US" and "not be president," that would have disqualified McCain. Even if Obama was born in Kenya, his mother was an American citizen.

Sorry "John Dough," I know everyone on the right is bad and should only be disparaged, but I don't believe Trump's idiocy is motivated by racism. I think he's swinging into "Rebublicans Must Win" mode and in his mind he's takling up the ball and advancing it for the team here. If he'd ever had a reason to develop more evolved thinking on racial matters, he'd understand how the birther strategy relies on racism for effect, but he probably hasn't.
Looking forward to Omaba playing more rope-a-dope with him.

Not everyone on the right is bad nor should they be disparaged (in the same vein, not everyone on the left is good and some are no different than those on the extreme right). I am calling out an element of society that cannot acknowledge the fact that Obama is a citizen and deserves all the rights that go along with being born here; it is no different than saying "he is not one of us". I understand people when they disagree with Obama's methods or politics and want your candidate to do things different, but birtherism = racism, no matter how you slice it.

The reality is there for the viewing yet some, including Trump, refuse to accept that they are flat out wrong. History will be not kind to such people.

I notice that the younger generation gets it immediately that birtherism is based on racism. They seem to understand it intuitively, since the "logic" of the position is nonsensical and the refutations are solid. What's left is ultra-extremism, where this is defined as the unwillingness or inability to accept the truth when it is obvious and definitive, but goes against your own emotional wants.

I don't know if Trump is just an evil opportunist or a racist idiot. He may be trying to carry water for the Republican Party, but this is carrying water for the racist subset of that party. It offends quite a few Republicans, by the way.

I don't think we would have heard the word "birther" if Obama's father were white and from Toronto.
