my mom's take on the wisconsin election

Money....Walker had $30 mil to Barrett's $3 mil......many voted for Walker cuz they did not agree with the recall, not liking the tax payer money spent on it. Amazing how people will vote against their own best interest. He did a good job of pitting public employees against non public employees as having something no one else in the state have. This isn't over yet. There is a John Doe investigation going on...6 of his staff have been charged with felonies and 13 so far have been granted immunity. He recently set up a defense fund for himself though he refuses to say who is funding it for him. It stems from claims of campaigning out of his offices..he was county executive of Milwaukee Co...on county time using a secret computer system. He claims he' s not being investigated yet he won't release what he has handed over to the investigation and that he is cooperating yet the Milwaukee journal( which supported him in the recall) came out with an investigative report that shows he has been stone walling in turning over what's been asked for. So looks like they are making sure they have all their ducks in row then go after him.I knew he never graduated from college but didn't know it was because he got kicked out of Marquette for cheating! So more to come but it is disappointing, a huge step backwards for a state that has been known for being progressive.....oh ya Walkers motto was Forward as is Obama's yet no one was up in arms call Walker a socialist!

Looks like the dems won a senate seat, will probably be a recount but at least we may have a way to control Walker some thru that

I've been hearing about the investigation due to following a couple of FB anti-Walker pages. It sounds like it could open up quite a can of worms. I would have preferred he be voted out, rather than thrown out for crimes, but I guess you take what you can get. Fingers crossed.

If you look at who is getting immunity in that investigation, it sure looks like the DA is aiming for the top of the food chain.

It would be pretty hilarious if he got indicted for something big.

Here's a story about how Walker violated election rules at Marquette:

[marquettetribune.org]

It doesn't show that he was kicked out of school for it, but it does show that he has always been a dumb d-bag.

my cousin lives there, he was born & raised in PA.

"So, I've heard alot of people scream Shame Shame Shame over the past year.
These things are the Shame:
The amount of money that ALL Wisconites have to pay for this recall.
The amount of damage caused in our State's Capital in the name of anger and hate.
And how there is a rift between brother and sister because of this Recall.

C'mon, Wisconsin. Let's start to get it together."

Here in PA we just had two state-level elected politicians get convicted of using state resources to campaign, with possible jail time, so it's serious business.

I wish people could just accept the results of elections and not go out of their way to short circuit it. Recall failed now let's drag the guy to court. Despite what Ed Shultz said for a year, people liked what he did. Live with it.

The investigation is about two years old.

The masked Avenger sock puppet can't seem to get his/her facts straight on anything. Based on that, whose sock puppet is it. Care to tell us which other nicks you have posted under Avenger, or are you ashamed to admit who you are?

Rpubs had no such problems when they went all out to recall the elected Dem governor of California.

A recall is how we got Arnold for Governor. I desperately wanted Walker out, but I'm never crazy about recalls. I am crazy about voting responsibly. Recalls create scary power vacuums.
