If I vote now, can skip voting in the general election?

Truth is, Georgia is so firmly in the red for the Presidential election, no matter how I vote, Romney will be getting the electoral votes from here.

I will probably vote anyway because I have never not voted in a presidential election, since I came of age, but it is disappointing to know that the outcome for my state is a forgone conclusion. The republicans in Georgia vote as a block, much as the Democrats of old used to, and would vote for dead Elvis, if he was the party nominee and was on the ballot.

Being stuck in Texas, I know my vote doesn't count. I can see Texas tipping in the next ten years as the Hispanic and Urban votes get bigger, unless there is some sort of voter suppression (but that would never happen in America, would it?)

My vote in Arkansas is wasted. Obama got 25% in one of the counties here in the Democratic primary.
