Florida's Governor is at it again.....

Gov. Rick Scott: "We're not going to implement Obamacare in Florida,"

Scott said on Fox News (his official statement network) that the state would not expand the Medicaid program in order to lower the number of uninsured residents. He said that expanding the eligibility of Medicaid to those just above the poverty level would not help the citizens of Florida.

The governor also said that Florida would not set up a state-run health exchange, or a marketplace where people needing insurance policies could shop for them.

In other news, the ghost of Alabama Gov. George Wallace was told to move away from the schoolhouse doors.

Gov. Rick Scott: "We're not going to implement Obamacare in Florida,"

He said that expanding the eligibility of Medicaid to those just above the poverty level would not help the very wealthy citizens of Florida.

What he meant to say ...

"This is my plan to be a one term governor".

He has decided not to enforce the law. Is that a problem?

I find the strategy here patently offensive. Florida and her ilk will deliberately withhold the benefits from its people, then blame the law for the failure to provide the promised benefits. Like a king burning his own country's fields in order to have a famine to blame on the enemy.

Edit: Actually, this has been the typical conservative strategy since 2008.

Arkansas is about to join the nut race. They elected several teabaggers to state offices plus the House and Senate. This election, they'll take another bite. We'll have 4 R's and 0 D's in the House and 1 R and 1 BlueDog D in the Senate. Not long ago, it was 2 D's in Senate and 3 in the House.

A total idiot is Secretary of State and will run for Governor in 2014. Two years ago he was running a pizza parlor. In one county, Obama got 24% of the vote in the Democratic primary.

Whoever is in charge of implementing health care turned down over $300 million because he didn't want to cooperate with the feds.

I say we take any money that states refuse and divide it up among the states that want to cooperate.

I would prefer if they took away the governor and divided him up among the other states.
