Love it.
Governor O'Malley:

McCain saw Romney's tax returns, and chose Palin.

Romney was evasive and condescending on CNN:

Continues to say he left Bain in 1999, mountains of evidence to the contrary.

Won't answer the key questions.

"And that's what we're going to put out," he said. "people always want to get more and we're putting out what is required plus more that is not required. And those are the two years that people are going to have and that's all that's necessary for people to understand something about my finances."

I'm inclined to agree.

Look how long Obama dragged his feet to disclose his birth certificate. He still won the election.

But if Romney releases those tax records, he'll lose the election.

That's what my mom said tonight. She really believes that if he releases his tax records it'll be worse than what he's dealing with now. Understand, Obama was the first democrat she ever voted for. Between the Iraq war and Medicare she had had it with the Republicans. She really doesn't get seniors wanting to vote for McCain or now Romney.

And I remain convinced that the idiots who would vote for Romney now would still do so regardless of what may be in those tax returns.

It may be hard to believe, but there are people who change their minds about candidates during the campaign process upon learning new information. Others don't make up their mind until near the end of the campaign. Neither of those groups is a majority, by any means, but they are enough to decide elections.
Otherwise nobody would spend the millions trying to win votes for themselves and discredit their opponent. Some switch candidates, some decide to stay home. It all matters.

The Romney campaign is so shaken up by this recent episode that they made major staff changes at the top of their campaign. It's taking a toll.

With conventions coming up, these stories would fade away when Obama needs them most. Should have kept his powder dry.

A vote for Obama is a vote against a white Mormon.

A vote for Obama is a vote against a white Mormon.

y'see... that's just it...

You don't see Obama supporters yelling that we can't have a Mormon in the White House - do you? (Most of that ranting came from repubs during the primaries)

But there are legions of Romney supporters saying that the Kenyan born, cheating student Muslim must be defeated at all costs.

See the difference?

Ok, now why don't you just change the subject again...

Something about that Mormon thing. I know a lot of Mormons, they are both prevalent and prominent in my community.
I'm not seeing how Romney's religion informs his politics. And he refuses to talk about it much, I think probably for good reason.

The secrecy, exclusivity and control-freak type stuff rings true, but his lack of compassion for people less fortunate doesn't jive with what I know and understand about Mormons or their practices or teaching.
Mormons are even changing on the social conservative stuff. Romney seems to be regressing in his positions (for political expediency) while his church is progressing.

So I don't look at Mitt Romney and see "Mormon." Really not at all.
