That's a pretty terrible PS job even without the crazy white eyeballs. I don't think that was some malevolent scheme. I think that the person doing the retouch has no idea what they are doing. They probably thought her eyes looked too dark and that they were "fixing" it.

Thanks for that graphic and explanation, Decay.

This ad by the Conservative party preceded 10 years of a Labour govt. headed by Blair...

"The Tories, though, were gleeful. A spokesman for Conservative Central Office said: 'We believe the campaign was a powerful influence in reinforcing voters' suspicions.' "

Yep, they nailed that one.

she was only "one of the chief architects" of the Iraq invasion as those were her orders from above and she was following them. many people should recall that she famously hated Donald Rumsfeld and didn't think he knew his ass from his elbow. I can't verify that, but I'm certainly inclined to believe her rather than him.

It was plain to see that she knew "the orders from above" were wrong and that she knew that she was lying for the administration. No pass.

I'm with Black. You never have to pull the trigger, unless you want to. She wanted to and she did.

so, the whole cabinet should resign when policy decisions are made with which they disagree? that would be great, but naive for anyone to believe that will happen (at least in the US).
Yes, yes, you're amazing-- that's exactly what I was trying to say, thank you!

Seeing Condi gushing with pride then hearing her explain what the Obama victory meant to her personally made me admire her personally.
