For some reason, I guess because these days nobody knows when anything happened, they rounded everything up to the beginning of the next decade, so if this theory is true we really only have like two years. That's not even enough time for Pantone to select the color palette, let alone for the GAP to design and manufacture anything. So we will be stuck with whatever we can find at the Violent Upheaval Consignment Shop.

Seems like the past "upheavals" mostly came on the heels of periods of peak prosperity, which maybe or maybe not have run 50-ish year cycles.
Agree that there's some magical thinking about the roundness of their numbers.
I think we're due now....

Would a black hoodie be in order?

We don't use fancy terms like pseudo science in Engineering. We use WAG. Wild Assed Guess.

Make sure it's loose-fitting so you can store several fully automatic assault rifles up the sleeves.
The NRA recommends a real poncho vs a Sears poncho. ( and body armor )

Maybe a trip to Goodwill or Salvation Army would be in order.

Hmmm...the preferred term at the places I've worked is SWAG - Scientific WAG. Yeah...hmmm...Scientific...THAT lends whatever we're saying more credence...
