The latest out of Virginia Tech:

University President Charles W. Steger Statement on Marcus Vick

Blacksburg, Va., January 6, 2006 -- Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick has been permanently dismissed from the Hokie football program due to a cumulative effect of legal infractions and unsportsmanlike play.

Just because he's been kicked out of college doesn't mean his career will suffer. Surely this will enhance his employment application for CIA interrogator.

He also has a couple of DUIs, has provided drugs and sex to 14 and 15 year-old girls and is generally a really lousy human being.

His brother's money is the only reason he is not in jail right now.

Maybe he and Maurice Clarett can get together and open a consulting firm.

Hey, it worked for Michael Brown...

His career will be fine. Teams and fans don't care if the players are morally and/or ethically bankrupt. As long as they don't eat children!

Vick, who said before the Jan. 2 Gator Bowl that he thought he needed to return to Tech for another year of development, changed his mind Saturday, announcing that he has decided to declare for the NFL draft rather than finish his college career elsewhere.

"I am very excited about this opportunity and look forward to proving my athletic ability at the professional level," he said in a statement released through his lawyers. "I believe I am ready for this challenge and the next chapter of my life."

Vick said he appreciated all the consideration and trust that Beamer had placed in him during his stay at Virginia Tech, and said after contemplating his play, "I deeply regret that I allowed my competitive emotions to take control" in the Gator Bowl.

The god's reached down and turned your right arm into a thunderbolt! You've got a Hall of Fame arm, but you're pissin' it away.

I'm not pissin' anything away..I got a porsche already...with a quadraphonic blaupunkt...

You don't need a quadraphonic blau-punk...what you need is a curveball! In the show, everybody can hit a fastball...

Well how would *you* know? You been in the majors?

Ya...I was in the show...
