Just a reminder that you should always read things before you share them.

That's a lesson the White House learned after sending out Friday's 1600 Daily email.

The official email — which includes remarks by President Trump, videos of his appearances and a photo of the day — has a "News Reports" section toward the bottom. On Friday, that included "Trump’s budget makes perfect sense and will fix America, and I will tell you why" by The Washington Post's Alexandra Petri.
The March 17, 2017, edition of 1600 Daily.

The opinion piece (as clearly noted at the top) pokes fun at the president's budget, which was released on Thursday.

An excerpt:

"This budget will make America a lean, mean fighting machine with bulging, rippling muscles and not an ounce of fat. America has been weak and soft for too long. BUT HOW WILL I SURVIVE ON THIS BUDGET? you may be wondering. I AM A HUMAN CHILD, NOT A COSTLY FIGHTER JET. You may not survive, but that is because you are SOFT and WEAK, something this budget is designed to eliminate."

It's still there, near the bottom of this page.

Sigh. If the Obama white house had done that, it would have been because they actually had a sense of humor. And then the TeaPublicans would have gone ape shiite.

How the White House made me Real News
This is 2017 in a nutshell: You start with what you think is obviously a joke, and then a few days later it is being sent out from the White House.
