Will the "greatest jobs producer God ever created" take responsibility for these jobs too?

Boeing to lay off hundreds more engineers: source

Boeing Co (BA.N) warned employees on Monday it planned another round of involuntary layoffs that would affect hundreds of engineers at its commercial airplanes unit, according to a source and a memo seen by Reuters.

The latest job cuts followed a prior involuntary reduction of 245 workers set for May 19 as the company responded to increasing competition and slowing aircraft sales.

The additional layoffs are due to start June 23, according to the memo from John Hamilton, vice president of engineering at Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

"We are moving forward with a second phase of involuntary layoffs for some select skills in Washington state and other enterprise locations," the memo said. "We anticipate this will impact hundreds of engineering employees. Additional reductions in engineering later this year will be driven by our business environment and the amount of voluntary attrition."

Maybe I'm just more acutely aware of these numbers lately, but the CPI went negative in March:

Quote

The Labor Department says the U.S. Consumer Price Index dropped 0.3 percent in March following a tiny 0.1 percent rise in February. It was the first monthly decline in 13 months...

Core inflation, which excludes volatile food and energy, dropped 0.1 percent last month.

Hurray, right? Not exactly:

Quote

In a note Friday morning, Barclays characterized the CPI figure as "much weaker than expected."

The bank cut its first-quarter GDP estimate to 0.8 percent following the report, citing the inflation numbers, as well as weak retail and inventory data. The new figure is two-tenths below the Barclays' estimate prior to Friday's data.

There are just a lot of indicators that are not behaving the way they should in an accelerating economy...

A good question:

"Trump Voters in a Swing District Wonder When the ‘Winning’ Will Start"

No one wants to be wrong,” said Brian Mock, 33, a tattoo artist in Levittown, Pa., and a Trump skeptic. “It’s like seeing a house on fire and saying, ‘That house isn’t on fire.’ It is very clearly on fire.”

The official CPI is just another PC correct, fake index. The true consumer price inflation is much higher in real life.
An easy check is to see you housing cost over the period of couple years....

I don't know really any jobs he has created. Everytime some reports it turns out it has been in the mill for 2 yrs. Like Intel was going to build a plant in N.Mex or Arz. Turns out they have planned this for a couple of years…and so on.

BUt the truth rolls off 45 like water off a duck's back.

The only jobs he's created are the paid protesters at the anti-Trump rallies.

The Boeing cuts are not that terrible, these numbers are small relative to their overall Washington state workforce which is now at around 75K.
They have reduced the workforce here by 11% over the past year but mostly through attrition, not layoffs.

Yep, that check from George Soros covered my mortgage payment last month.
