Administration denounces 'paid demonstrators'!

Oops, it's Maduro. Mr Maduro said the state of emergency was needed to combat foreign aggression, which he blamed for Venezuela's problems.

And here you thought it was Trump. Well they are reading out of the same small-time dictator manual. So save this one for later.

And he said military exercises would take place next weekend to counter "foreign threats".
There are severe shortages of food, medicines and basic goods which Mr Maduro argues are due to business leaders and the US waging an economic war against his government.

If only this were the playbook of small-time dictators...

Sadly, it is the modus operandi for all would-be and actual autocrats, despots, and tyrants of the worst sort around the world since time immemorial.

Far too often it's the efforts of those opposing them that are small-time, and without vast popular support these valiant resistance actors suffer the brunt of the oppression their rulers rain down upon them, until such time as the populace as a whole as suffered sufficient injustice - and has sufficient means - to cast off their oppressors.

Venezuela donate $500,000 to Trumps inauguration.

I can't even begin to imagine the outcry if even a dollar had gone to an Obama inauguration.

I am wondering, like Rachel, what happened to the 100Mil for the cheap inauguration.
