Russia won the election for Trump !

If I hear the Republicans say this one more time my head is going to explode! The Republican establishment keep saying this is what the Dems keep saying when I don't hear them saying this but I do keep hearing the Republicans saying this is what the Dems keep repeating. confused smiley The Dems admit the hacking but say altho it may have had some influence no one knows what influence it totally had.

Laura Ingraham and Rush are just coming up with some unbelievable comments. Lara is about to have a heart attack she is so upset. And how the forces that be are going after Pence, too. Well, that joker lied out his teeth about Flynn. Not just when the WH supposedly first heard about it the 18th. They were all told in January by Flynn himself.

A straw man is a common form of argument and is an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while refuting an argument that was not advanced by that opponent.

The Dems argument is that Russia meddled in the election against Clinton (and that, in any case, it ought to be investigated to avoid similar situations in the future, as well as determining if there was collusion with the Russians in this effort). The straw man here is "Russia won the election for Trump", the accuracy of which we'll probably never know...but it's not an argument that's being made (at least not by any Dem politicians I've heard).

I think we have better statistical evidence that Comey's actions tilted the election, particularly at the end, and they're sometimes lumped together with the Russian interference (as I think Clinton did recently). But I don't think anyone has stated the Russians elected Trump (except Rush and his ilk, only in order to "knock down this straw man").

Except that as evidence piles up and deepens our understanding regarding Russia's interference presents new channels of corruption that need addressing.

The scale of the cyber-operation to destroy Hillary gets clearer every day. Our constitution isn't written to cover this type of virtual coup. The election itself is invalid.

The election certainly gets an asterisk. But sans changing vote tallies, it's valid. Your vote is your vote no matter how you arrive at your decision to vote or not vote. You can play eenie meanie miney moe, ask a magic 8 ball, or your astrologer who to vote for. It's your vote.

Then call off the Russia investigations. No harm, no foul.

No, interference by a foreign country is most definitely not to be tolerated. It's an attack. Collusion by Trump or his associates should be prosecuted with extreme prejudice. It does not however follow that the election is invalid.

It's all coming Swampy. We don't get to hear what they have already. If you've looked at the faces of those on the committees that have heard the classified info they were all very bleak. Congressional Republicans don't turn for nothing.

Have you forgotten the last Republican "Witch Hunt" against Nixon? The cover-up is usually worse than the crime. Obstruction of justice? Money laundering? Plain old-fashioned treason?
