...who will pay the legal fees for the president and administration officials involved in the Russia inquiries? Some in Trump’s orbit are pushing the Republican National Committee to bear the costs, said three people with knowledge of the situation, including one who euphemistically described the debate as a “robust discussion.”

"Some in Trump's orbit".

Another random (?) Trump-related tidbit. Michael Isikoff tweets that Jared Kushner's main lawyer Jamie Gorelick has quit.

As one wag puts it, clients can become a little dangerous when their pants are on fire.

I hope they suck the RNC dry.

And another example of the incredible efficiency of the Trump administration:

Quote

Six months into his administration, President Donald Trump has far fewer political appointees in place than his four predecessors...49 of Trump's key nominees have been confirmed as of Thursday, according to the Partnership for Public Service, a non-partisan group that tracks more than 500 key appointments. That's compared to 201 for Barack Obama, 185 for George W. Bush, 196 for Bill Clinton and 148 or George H.W. Bush.

What's the problem? Not surprisingly, it's all the Democrats' fault!

Quote

Marc Short, the administration's legislative affairs director...blamed Democrats for slowing many of the nominees with cloture votes -- or forcing 30 hours of debate and an up-and-down vote...

The administration has already faced 30 cloture votes. That's more than any Congress since 1949 other than in 2013, after Obama was re-elected...

That one almost made me spit my ice water. Yes, this Congress has forced more cloture votes on this poor administration than any...um...since the last administration.

But it was okay then, because ________. And yet somehow the last administration got it done.
