Worst 6 month presidential approval in 70 years

...says the latest WaPo/ABC News poll:

Trump says "Not bad!"

Quote
Trump tweet today
The ABC/Washington Post Poll, even though almost 40% is not bad at this time, was just about the most inaccurate poll around election time!

(I like that: 36% is "almost 40%"!, which would allow him to eke out a second-worst-place finish at 6 months. But Ford didn't have his negatives).

FWIW, the Gallup poll also puts him below 40%.

I have to agree with Pres. Trump, not bad for a traitor and incompetent. It shows that 36% of Americans will never admit they voted for a con man.

And Ford was that low partly because of the pardon he issued for Richard Nixon.

If Ford was suddenly POTUS now with his exact same sensibilities, I'd be pleased.

But that's not saying much. If you replaced Ford with almost anyone--except maybe Steve Bannon, Alex Jones, etc. or Mitch McConnell or Paul Ryan--I'd be pleased.

When the stock market tanks a week after the next debt ceiling fails to pass, the poo emoji will really hit the fan.

I didn't mean to speak ill of Gerald Ford; I liked the man.

I merely meant to speak ill of Donald Trump. wink smiley
