Dallas Stars (NHL) becomes first franchise to publicly oppose Texas 'bathroom bill'

The Dallas Stars have become the first professional sports franchise to publicly oppose the Texas "bathroom bill."

"The Dallas Stars stands strongly opposed to any legislation perceived as discriminatory, including proposed bathroom legislation," President Jim Lites said Wednesday. "Dallas welcomes all, and we welcome all."

The Dallas Stars were once a model 'southern' NHL team, but has fallen on tough times recently. They were just awarded the 2018 NHL draft - such events are cash cows - gifts from the league, so I'm sure they are doing everything they can to be sure they keep it.

Seattle will gladly take the stars, or the Coyotes, or...just about any team they're offered really.
