It can't be that easy. Nuke free Korea? We will not have "war games" anymore. I wonder if the army will start moving out of S.Korea now.

All that's missing is Trump proclaiming that there is "peace for our time."

SINGAPORE — President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un signed a joint statement Tuesday agreeing to pursue the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Trump also confirmed military exercises involving American and South Korea forces would be put on hold for now. He said sanctions imposed against the Kim regime would not be removed until "we are sure that the nukes are no longer a factor."

Rather than addressing a timeline or specific steps Kim would take to rid himself of nuclear weapons, the agreement calls on the countries to continue their negotiations.

...Trump characterized their meetings as "very intensive," and said he would invite Kim to the White House. Kim is the leader of one of most brutal and repressive regimes in modern history — a country that has committed "unspeakable atrocities" on a vast scale in a manner reminiscent of Nazi Germany, according to a 2014 United Nations investigation.

Allegedly, Trump never consulted with South Korea and they're very upset.

The joint exercises were seen as a measure to not just put North Korea on notice that South Korea was protected, but also China. The entire nation is now living in fear of a military invasion.

We are not pulling out our troops.

Troops that will not train or coordinate with the allies they are suppose to work with in the event of an attack.

Has anybody checked if our military's new marching orders for the Washington parade will involve goosestepping?

Not immediately.

"At some point into the future, I would like to save the money" it costs to keep up to 32,000 American troops in South Korea, Trump told reporters on Air Force One. He added that a withdrawal will not be on the table at the first planned U.S.-North Korean summit after more than six decades of hostility.

U.S. and North Korean officials have agreed on a date and location for the nuclear summit, Trump said, promising to announce the details shortly. The White House said South Korean President Moon Jae-in will visit the White House on May 22, so the summit is unlikely before then.

Trump's vow not to immediately offer a U.S. withdrawal, a long-standing demand by Pyongyang, may be aimed at easing concerns among his military advisors and U.S. allies in the region that, in his eagerness for a deal, Trump would bargain away a cornerstone of U.S. security strategy in northeast Asia.

But Trump only added to the uncertainty Friday by repeating his previous vows to bring at least some U.S. troops home from South Korea because he considers the deployment a costly waste. His comments came after weeks of conflicting signals from administration officials, including reports that Trump's aides had to talk him out of ordering a major withdrawal from Korea.

Trump gave Kim exactly what Kim wanted, and Kim gave Trump the same line of BS he's been handing us all along. Winning!

Trump gave CHINA everything that they asked for; and told every struggling 3rd world nation that they can get anything they want from the United States if only they build some nukes; and escalated little Kim's tiny country to the world-stage on equal-footing with the United States; and promised the dictator of North Korea that he'd enrich his family; and promised the dictator of North Korea that he'd entrench the dictator's family (watch the Welcome video that Trump had made for the summit); and cut off South Korea's balls for an "agreement" that promises less than the original armistice did and a promise to break the United States' treaty obligations.

Good job, China!
