No! This is a terrible pick.

"Presidents cannot be indicted, they should be immune from all civil and criminal liability"
Brett Kavanaugh

Only candidate who had explicitly commented on this

Gosh, what a surprise! Trump makes religious right mad but covers own ass. On social issues he's not hard right, in fact the evangelicals hate him.
may even swing left. so we get to keep our rights but we're stuck with a criminal president?

There's always Civil War 2.0.... oh wait, that didn't happen.

MASSIVE PROTESTS IN FRONT OF THE KREMLIN.

Let's just recognize where the REAL seat of the American government is. It ain't DC.

There has always been an element of American society that to be honest wants a monarch, not a president as leader of the country. Looks like a candidate out of that pool of our citizenry.

There's a tempting simplicity to dictatorships. Much easier than the hard work of following complex issues and imperfect candidates for yourself. Of course, this assumes you are in the Favored Class of said dictatorship. If not, you're a brown kid in a cage.

I believe this is more part of Pence's end game. He's been pretty vocal in saying that he will see abortion ended in his lifetime; this is one more step towards that goal.

He worked on the investigation that led to President Clinton's impeachment

Kavanaugh co-wrote independent counsel Kenneth Starr’s report in the 1990s. He laid out the legal framework supporting Clinton’s impeachment for his affair with then-White House intern Monica Lewinsky. Clinton could have been impeached for misleading the public and lying to staff members, Kavanaugh argued then, according to The New York Times. However, he later wrote that he thought presidents shouldn't have to deal with criminal investigations or civil lawsuits while in office.

HOW CONVENIENT THAT HE FLIP-FLOPPED AFTER THAT!

Sources are saying this was a done deal weeks ago. Once Kennedy was assured his former clerk would be nominated he felt comfortable retiring.
