U.S. proposal to build wall on border
provokes Mexico
Deutsche Presse Agentur, by Franz Smets

[news.monstersandcritics.com]

Mexico City - A proposed U.S. law that would plug holes in its
porous southern border has unleashed a storm of protest in
Mexico and Central America after it passed the U.S. House of
Representatives late last year. /break/ U.S. ambassador to
Mexico, Antonio Garza, issued a five-page retort, calling
the criticism 'excessive, often irresponsible and almost
always inaccurate, / / 'There is no human right to enter
another country in violation of its laws'

I'd like to see what would happen if say 10,000,000 Americans
showed up in Mexico City and demanded that their children be
taught in English, that they should be able to vote, that
they deserve free medicare and welfare to pay their food and
rent and clothing, and they they be employed without learning
Spanish.

Mexico is Mexico. There are many fine people there. I have been honored to know a few.
There are also a whole lot that aren't. But that is their country, their culture, their heritage, their
language, systems, legal structure, etc.
And it's not ours. Just about all of those things are different on this side of the line.
And there is a border. '' melding'' is, well, bologna, or something like it. That border is a zone
of demarcation from one culture to another. No one, for any reason whatever, despite their
opinions or wishes, has any inherent right to ignore our laws and standards, and either cross
that line without permission or connive with others to do so. Doing so may be an act of War,
or of Treason, but it is not a trivial thing and pretending to the contrary does violence to the
truth.

Hi everyone,

The nerve of the US to build a wall on _its_ side of the border to help prevent _illegal_ immigrants from crossing it. What's the world coming to?

Of course the fence would make it difficult for the Mexican Army to cross over to the US. 216 times since 1996.

I have no problem with this provided we also build a similar wall on the U.S.-Canadian border and beef up port security on both coasts.

After 30 years of open border....all of the US citizens that
"compete" with illegals in California want to be paid in
cash, cash, cash, cash, cash.

And the illegals go to the best hospital emergency rooms for
free medical.

Comming to a state near you.
