A wall made sense in China, but that was hundreds/thousands of years ago. Somebody should explain to tRump that we now live in 21st century.

He's not doing it because it will be effective in stopping illegal immigration, he's doing it because it got him elected and he hopes it will work again.

The Great Wall of China was a fully manned fortress. A naked wall without being manned is pretty much useless.

And don't forget the example of the Maginot Line... a manned 450 mile long fortress that was simply bypassed by the Germany army.

That wall was ineffective as well. When the Mongols wanted to cross and raid, they just bribed the local guards.

I'm sure no ICE could be convinced to do such a thing...
