A beginner’s guide to the 2019 Israeli elections So many questions: How is Israel’s government constructed, why are Israelis going to the polls on April 9, and who are the major players this campaign? Look no further for answers

Lots of helpful info on the 47 party melee happening in the area's only Democracy April 9. All kinds of Jews and Arabs. Learn to tell the difference.

I'm certain the linked article will only help. I think the multiplicity of wigged out religious and right wing and extremist parties is particularly interesting and a good indication of how strange thing have become.

No doubt that the USofA is headed in the same direction. As much as the plutocracy is propping it up, the two-party system is crumbling into a very similar scenario. A Battle Royale shaping up for the Democratic nomination right now with no Dumbf to distinguish him or herself from the rest by virtue of celebrity status.

Americans love their celebs. Too much.

Well, we don't have a parliamentary system. And with the exception of the Bull Moose party, any third party national candidacy ends up reducing the strength of one of the other parties.

Now if we can kill the electoral college and upset the current state by state calculus that effectively makes some states irrelevant... that would be cool.
