Boston Red Sox visited the White House and...

Drumpf's congratulatory tweet used the wrong team-name and his congratulatory speech (to the few players who showed up because most of them boycotted the event) ridiculed Abraham Lincoln for losing the Civil War.

January 2021 is a long way off.

Yeah he really said that. And this guy recounts it without a trace of surprise or irony while calling Trump a "good raconteur" of history.

Does he mean Trump thinks the Union lost (??) or that he thinks the Confederacy should have won and that Lincoln was pulling for them? God, who knows.

Maybe he was trying to stumble through another 'there were good people on both sides' statement to support Alt-Reich groups but the Reagan-heimer's kicked in.

I like how his tweet included, "Earned and deserved."

I appreciate that reassurance from such a vaunted authority.

In Chairman Werner's quest to completely squelch any hint of the racial divide caused by Trump, he got it wrong.

"... a Red Sox player told me Werner had misspoken. “He did not say that,” Steven Wright said in a tweet. “He was giving the history on how the North was losing the war and with the help of Ulysses S. Grant they were able to defeat the South.”

WH press release:

Red Sox are “2018 World Cup Series Champions"

I have not found the article to support my statement, but a radio DJ said he saw a White House press release say "The Red SOCKS are 2018 World Cup Series Champions"

“Socks” was what the OP was talking about. It was a tweet that was later corrected.
