i want another option:

he was allowed the opportunity to kill himself. the difference between that and #1 is THAT is the help he received.

Who arranged for the opportunity you might ask? the powerful men at risk of being exposed by epstein's continued spotlight and trial.

Circumstantial evidence is beginning to pool. The mishandling of his suicide watch status on a number of levels. And the juggling of blame. This was not Mayberry jail with Andy and Barney; this was a facility with experience handling high value/threat prisoners like El Chapo. Bumbling on the level reported doesn’t fit. Still too soon for a half way reasoned guess one way or another though.

It falls under “Other”, but it’s getting enough traction amongst the theories, calling out ‘ Alive and spirited away to a new life in a faraway land’ would have been appropriate.

It's murder even if he was given the opportunity to kill himself. The "Qui Bono" list is sordid and long. And becoming PUBLIC. What will be more telling is whose names are NOT "found" in the extensive evidence in his pae-do paradise island.

The other question is.... who was capable of arranging it ? Who owns the prison ? Who will investigate ? Yeah... it's a Federal facility. The septic tank overflow of falsehood and propaganda is already flowing from Trump et al. The opposing political party just wants an honest investigation. That should tell you something. ...

Are you folks absolutely sure Epstein is dead? He's rich and powerful with a circle of friends and contacts who are also rich and powerful.

How do we know for certain that he didn't fake his death and has been spirited away to one of his private lairs scattered around the world?

Allowed to off himself seems the most reasonable explanation given that his first attempt was a failure. That red flag was quickly turned into a black flag by someone else. So, then, the question is who allowed it? And what was the payoff ?? Not talking about a 'chain-of-command' responsibility here… who was given the incentive to look the other way? And who provided that incentive?

#1 and #3 are functionally the same answer.

#2 is likely B.S. and severely diminishes the problem of prisoner suicides all over America.
