It all sounds crazy - the DA doesn't want to prosecute the people with minor, non violent offenses and the judge is refusing???

I've never heard of that - why refuse if the DA is not going to prosecute? I can understand why the defense atty lost it.

We could hope so, but the judge is a recent appointee of our GOP Governor. Charlie Baker tres to make himself out to be a socially liberal, fiscally conservative politician, but his actions betray his libertarian beginnings and flirtation with Tea Party vales almost a decade ago.

If anything, I suspect the best that is going to happen is that judge is required to recuse himself based on his actions to this point.
