"with all that being said, we like the Kurds"

They didn't help us with WWII or Normandy though.

25th amendment is more appropriate at this point than impeachment, but I'll take impeachment and removal. His incompetence is getting people killed.

I like the way Esquire reported it:
The President* Is Having Another Episode. Get the Net.
Trump observes that the Kurds did not, in fact, fight at Normandy.

Impeach Pence, remove Trump, fine his family $1 Billion EACH for their participation!

But he SAYS he's brilliant and makes great deals.

There's obviously a secret plan to git all the terrorists in one swoop, save all of the American farming/mining/manufacturing jobs being lost to China and automation, and bring back World War II so we can win it again.

Trump may have gotten the idiotic idea from this opinion piece at Town Hall. I think it's in the 5th paragraph:

What kind of a crazy thought came out of this idiots mouth! Where did he get it. He should forget talking history which makes no sense or is dead wrong. I still want to know when the first incident occurred where trump wiped out Turkey’s economy.

I can't imagine Trump reading five sentences much less five paragraphs of something. But it is plausible that someone tasked with retroactively coming up with a rationale for what he did - but certainly not his actual reasoning (to the extent he capable of strategic coherent thinking) - found or knew of it and put it on a poster to pitch to Trump to see if the boss approved.

But I also think it's plausible that he retroactively synthesized this rationale all by himself. The "didn't help in Normandy" is classic Trump weirdly trying to glom together a patriotic meme with what he wants to sell politically even though the meme and the political issue have only an extremely tenuous relationship to each other (IOW, ridiculous).

Germany, Japan, and Italy should be further concerned now, they weren't exactly helping us in WW2 either.

Why wasn't Obama storming the beach in Normandy?

Come on, everybody knows his mom was becoming a Kenyan citizen at that time.

no, but his grandfather was in France during WW2. even 45 can't claim that level of familial service.
