NYT via Yahoo News.

Kamala Harris suffers new blow as aide resigns with scathing letter: 'I've never seen staff treated so poorly'

“A blistering resignation letter from a member of the Kamala Harris campaign paints a picture of low morale among staffers of a directionless campaign with "no real plan to win" ahead of the crucial Iowa caucus in 2020.

According to the New York Times, the sentiments expressed in a letter from now-former state operations manager Kelly Mehlenbacher were corroborated by more than 50 current and former campaign staffers and allies...”

She's a cop that has mass incarcerated thousands and thousands of Black men and boys, tosses Black parents in jail and has slept her way to the top in addition to not being Black herself. Tons of other stuff too. That's the scuttlebutt. She has a bad character. It's important for all of the presidential candidates to be white anyway.

California is supposed to be a progressive state and in many ways it is but not politically. We have two of the least representative or progressive US Senators imaginable.

Maybe the Harris presidential debacle will bring someone forward who can oust her, nothing but death or retirement will oust Feinstein.

We have Senators that know how to get things done, not some dreamer that's satisfied with just wagging his finger in the air and never never ever ever passing meaningful legislation. Aside from a single bill that he co-wrote with McCain.

That's the sum total of that finger wagger's political yield. "I led the fight." Not by passing bills.

This is the bigger problem, because Bloomberg shouldn't even be running. With his cash and influence if he wants to impact the 2020 election he could throw his weight behind Bill Weld ... and just maybe pull a few Republicans away from Trump to create a few fatal splits.

Someone once said that "Good is the enemy of Excellence". Neither of those two are even good. If you settle for less than optimum, you surrender to mediocrity. If mediocrity is your goal, you can quit campaigning - we're already there.

Given this,

It would seem the criticisms are hardly single source. How does where Mehlenbacher landed impact that one way or the other?

Based on this, identifiable excellence would have to figure in somewhere. I challenge anyone to point it out.

Kamala is FAR more accomplished than Stacey Abrams and I love Stacey Abrams.

I really don't think you guys know these people. You can't count on the winds to define who someone is.

I'm not sure that comparing Harris and Abrams apples-to-apples is a great way to do it.

Harris has done well in California. She has been politically tuned in to her environment since her first election to AG, but her campaign has flubbed the migration and translation of that acumen to other places, including Iowa. She and Abrams have also competed as Democrats in very different places, and although their careers have both emphasized public service, Harris' path to high office was different from Abrams', which has focused on justice for poor people and voter registration.

They are both incredible women, and either would be an immeasurable improvement over the current president. They both have work to do to show they can win in the broad contexts where they want to compete.

Her problem, just like Warren was going hard left early and now trying to wriggle back out of it and suffering the consequences of that. M4A is like a lead necklace. Harris is the main Democrat being targeted by bots and disinformation campaigns. Lies spread left and right about her. Pete never hewed that way and is setting up well for the first primaries despite him having run a city smaller than a tiny suburb.

He should throw his money into Senate races. Take back the Senate. Screw his ego, what a dope he is.

This "the woman boss is a bitch" is the same tactic used on Amy Klobucher previously. I don't believe that 50 unidentified people said jack @#$%&.
