Yang set to announce end of his campaign
Posted by: Blankity Blank

CNN is reporting Yang will make an announcement at approximately 8:15pm eastern.

WaPo
“I am a numbers guy,” Yang said in an interview before addressing supporters at Manchester’s Puritan Backroom. “In most of these [upcoming] states, I’m not going to be at a threshold where I get delegates, which makes sticking around not necessarily helpful or productive in terms of furthering the goals of this campaign.”

Yang said he had not decided whether to endorse another candidate, though campaigns have reached out.”

Gabbard and Steyer won't be far behind. The real question is which major candidate will be the first out and where those supporters go.

Warren will be out soon, she's going to run out of money.

I just sent a little money to Amy Klobuchar to help her ramp up in Nevada. Wouldn't have expected to see her blow past Warren and Biden in NH, especially not Warren who is in her own backyard, but she seems to be doing just that.

Exit polls in NH showing McCain voters going for Buttigieg. Interesting dynamic - he is really great as a (very) moderate Republican.

Yang was an interesting sideshow and I hope he keeps the energy up around his anti-poverty work.

Just heard that Michael Bennet has dropped out. I liked him and thought he was a good man.

Deval Patrick is also apparently dropping out, although honestly, I had forgotten he was running.

Impressed with Klobuchar's showing tonight. Won (or winning, at this point) among college educated voters, voters who want to unify America, older (read: reliable/likely) voters.

Deval was idiotic to get in only recently.Had he been in it a while back, he'd be up there in the top five.

Key in this primary : women voters. 58% of voters in NH yesterday were women. Where are the men? That's a 16% spread. The gender divide between the parties is deep.

Men (primarily white ones) brought us Donald Trump, they need to step up and help us get rid of him.

Agree with pdq, Klobuchar did the best of any candidate among voters 45 and up, by a hefty margin; Sanders of course did better with younger voters. Again, surprised to see Biden do so poorly there. Another divide going on but the "OK, boomers" show up on election day.

No clear winner yesterday but definitely some losers - Warren and Biden.

I like Yang, he has a lot of good things to contribute to our nation. I hope he stays in the game on some level. I'm for Bernie, but I'll vote for whomever the nominee is.

It was a good kickstarter idea, but like many of them, it never really had a chance in the real market.
