Explanation of 45’s demeanor reversal?

Tucker Carlson's pivotal role

Oliver Darcy emails: Tucker Carlson's monologue last Monday warning about the dangers posed by coronavirus apparently caught Trump's attention. WaPo's Robert Costa, citing two White House sources, reported Tuesday that the monologue was "one of the factors that led the president to start to reconsider his position." You'll remember that during the monologue, Carlson seemed to indirectly chide Trump and other politicians for downplaying the seriousness of the virus, telling them that it would have massive ramifications on American society.

>> Of note: NYT's Michael Grynbaum previously reported that Carlson traveled to Mar-a-Lago and spoke with Trump about the virus...

Didn’t Carson previously say the opposite about the virus?

AFAIK he was the only FOX talking head who didn't follow the company line. He's done that before, maybe now Trump will jump ship and switch advisors - from Hannity to Carlson.

Who is running this country?

We once had an upper and middle management structure throughout various government agencies, they would often take over and keep the ship afloat in times of stress or uncertainty.

Many of them have been run off and replaced by political loyalists who haven't a clue how to make government work.

What about nominally 6 people at a Mar Lago event testing positive? And having to close for deep cleaning?

There was also a British report that made it to the whitehouse at the same time as all of the above suggesting that up to 2mil americans could die if there isn't an immediate effort put into place.

For as long as I can remember it's been Fox and Friends, supplemented occasionally by Hannity.

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

Carlson seems more his type.
