Falwell's Liberty U reopened last week: and surprise! (not)

Lots of kids got the virus, or brought it with them, probably both. Close to a dozen are sick with it according to the Times, only a week after the school reopened the dorms.

Half of the couple of thousand students who returned have now gone back home.

Um, heaven help the rest.

The number of infected is probably at least ten times the number diagnosed. They have no test-kits in Lynchburg, few hospital facilities and are using differential diagnosis.

Everyone should have known better by last week when the campus reopened. Anyone who listened to Falwell and returned to campus is up for a Darwin award.

Did it so the school wouldn't have to refund room & board..."technically, we're open..."

I see a lawsuit forming.

Yup, Bill.

If we kick you out, you might be entitled to a refund.

If you flee the plague of your own volition, that's on you buddy. Pray it out before you pay it out.

Jesus will heal them.

Jesus tried to heal them by banning them from school in the first place.

Well, Big J. will kill the virus.

And many times the host, too.

Yes a lot of schools made exceptions for international students or low income students who could not afford to get home soon. I think that makes sense.

Liberty U reopening made no sense.

Flying back from Atlanta to our regional airport sitting behind us was one of the international students my wife had in her class (K-12 private school)

They were heading from their university back to stay with the family with whom they lived back then... for the foreseeable future...
