Church attendance is one of those things presidents often get a pass on. There will be stated locations or whatever, but seldom any proof attendance occurred. On the one hand, it’s essentially a personal if not private thing. On the other, when a core aspect of your campaign is garnering evangelicals AND threatening states who try to limit congregation in the name of public health ... that president should probably be drilled every week about their attendance.

A reporter today could skip it and simply ask what the sermon was about and it would be treated as a “gotcha” question, despite being a thing anyone should not take offense to.

here's you answer:
"President Donald Trump spent his second day in a row on his Washington D.C. area golf course Sunday, opting to play the links instead of go to church after he encouraged houses of worship to reopen."

and the idiots love him

Obama wasn't much better. He would go in the front door of a church and then sneak out the back door and high tail it to the nearest mosque. That's what people are saying.

Some of Pres. Trump’s cult posts here and there that he goes to online or TV services. Try to prove otherwise.

hed:
“ On weekend dedicated to war dead, Trump tweets insults, promotes baseless claims and plays golf”

subhed:
“The president, who urged Americans to return to church this weekend, did not do so himself.”

I can provide the link, if it actually matters.

From the NYT:

Quote

Among those who regularly assailed Mr. Obama for golfing was Mr. Trump - by one count, 27 times. “Can you believe that, with all of the problems and difficulties facing the U.S., President Obama spent the day playing golf,” Mr. Trump wrote in 2014. He was criticizing Mr. Obama for golfing after just two cases of Ebola were confirmed in the United States. “When you’re president you sort of say, like, ‘I’m going to sort of give it up for a couple of years and I’m really going to focus on the job,’” he said on “Fox & Friends.”

And then there was this, which I doubt anyone here has forgotten:

Quote

"If I win I may never see my property -- I may never see these places again," Trump said at an August 2016 campaign event. "But because I'm going to be working for you, I'm not going to have time to go golfing, believe me. Believe me. Believe me, folks."

“Believe me” = I’m totally bullshitting, but you don’t care.

Worst president ever. And right up there among the worst people ever.

Nope because he wants churches open and for us to attend a real physical church.

Sentence of the week: "Mr. Trump has always been an unlikely champion of evangelicals and conservative religious voters; he rarely goes to church, displays only a passing familiarity with the Bible, previously supported abortion rights, has been married three times and paid hush money to a pornographic film actress."

During the campaign he said all sorts of things and made all sorts of promises--that he didn't think he would ever have to back up, because he didn't expect to win. In fact, he didn't actually want to win.

Unfortunately, after he was elected and when he did have to back up what he said, he just kept lying.
