This got to me so much, it felt like it deserved its own thread.

”NASCAR drivers supported Bubba Wallace before today's race by joining together to push his car to the front of the field.”

Video.

That’s Richard Petty, upper left.

Yeah, I saw the video of that - very impressive! I read an article about past NASCAR attempts to get out of the 19th century that were half-hearted, but they are in it for real now. They are going to find who did this and kick them out of the sport for life.

baby steps - keep 'em coming...

It's too ingrained to change over this kind of show of support. Maybe if owners, drivers and crews start addressing fans directly, it might have some effect.

Yes, moving. Now let’s see owners, sponsors, drivers and the rest of NASCAR answer the call.

He should look up what his ancestors put up with coming off the immigrant boats not to mention he's a freekin' Italian, I should but won't go there.

Suffice to say northern Italians look on southern Italians like...

I grew up surrounded by Italians of all stripes.

That's true. Joe Dimaggio's father was banned from working as a fisherman for the duration of WWII. Italians weren't even considered white.

Investigators: No federal charges after noose found in Bubba Wallace's garage stall was there in fall of 2019

The FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Northern District of Alabama said Tuesday that no federal charges would be filed after a noose was found in Bubba Wallace’s garage stall at Talladega on Sunday.

A statement from U.S. Attorney Jay Town and the FBI’s Johnny Sharp said that the noose had been in the garage stall since the fall of 2019. Wallace was assigned that garage stall at Talladega earlier in the week. Garage stall assignments are typically done via points standings after the previous race event.

The noose was found Sunday by a team member of Wallace’s. Wallace did not see the noose and only knew it existed when he was informed by NASCAR president Steve Phelps later that afternoon.
