He won’t back out of running but?

So much talk about something that won’t happen, but if by some chance he made some excuse and backed out of running for a second term...who would step up to the plate? Pence or someone else ?

I'd expect him to keep it in the family. I'd like to see him try.

New York State charges not affected by pardons.

The greatest risk is for him to sue about election fraud all the way to the SCOTUS, delaying his removal from office.

Is it even his choice to make? Doesn't the party need to make that decision.

Donhalt won't step down. It's not in his DNA, and it's not in his persona. Too much ego for that to ever happen.

Admit he's defeated? Come on. Expect plenty of turmoil over the validity of the election - especially if it's close.

I believe that, if he loses the election, he will lose the backing of enough Republicans that, if he tries to stay in power, article 25 will be invoked.

I think Article 25 always has been and always will be a fantasy.

Hanging on to that fantasy will help get me through until inauguration day.

would you want to '"spend more time with your family"?

The GOP has stood by while he rampages, why should this scenario be any different?

I don't think it's that frightening. It would be preferable to me because I worry more about the damage Trump will do between the time he loses the election and leaves office the day of the inauguration.

...as compared to what? The damage he'd do over the next 4 years?
