VP battles raging at WiKi

By way of The Intercept.

In 2016, The Atlantic published an article about Wikipedia edits and how a burst of activity could foreshadow Hillary Clinton’s vice presidential pick, noting that Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine’s page had seen significantly more edits than any other candidate’s in the weeks leading up to the announcement. The article also cited a 2008 Washington Post report about Sarah Palin’s Wikipedia page seeing more than 65 edits in the hours leading up to John McCain’s announcement.

no question Harris is the front runner for the VP pick - but that's still a month away.

Harris would be a mistake, she's a 100% political animal with few core values. Age not withstanding, her predecessor or Elizabeth Warren or Susan Rice would be a better choice.

I vote for my choice for president and I don’t much care who is VP, although with Sleepy Joe’s age a factor, I may give more weight to his VP pick.

Kamala's really not ready, but sometimes the situation can make one grow up in a hurry.

Under our current circumstances it sets up next prez pretty much and is more important than normal. I like Amy but she is out sadly. I don’t want Warren.

I have major problems with Harris and definitely don't think she's a good pick for VP.

Why not Rice or Warren?

Why not Rice or Warren?

It's time for a woman of color, and preferably not a neoliberal hawk.

Ergo, she is a neoliberal hawk.

Warren's a "hawk"? She won't be chosen because of age and skin tone but where does that hawk thing come from?

I bulloxed that up.

rjmacs responded to an inquiry about why not Warren or Rice. rjmacs said, "It's time for a woman of color, and preferably not a neoliberal hawk."

Warren is not a women of color so she doesn't meet his "time for a woman of color" criterion.

Effectively what he is saying is that it is time for a woman of color but preferably not a woman of color that is a neoliberal hawk.

AllGold pointed out that Rice is black. That meets the first criterion that rjmacs mentioned - "time for a woman of color". So that criterion is checked off with Rice. But rjmacs also says that it is preferable that this woman of color not be a neoliberal hawk. By responding to the original inquiry of why not Warren or Rice, I think it is implicit that he thinks that Rice is a neoliberal hawk.

I greatly admire Warren and am probably a bit overprotective of her image.

LOL, maybe if I really knew what a neoliberal hawk is, it wouldn't have whizzed over my head.
