Please let the current SCOUTUS stay as is. I don't think the nation can stand another Trumplican appointee.

I hadn't realized that he'd had two idiopathic seizures in the past, one resulting in a tumble off a dock! No seizure this time, apparently - just 'dehydrated' and 'lightheaded,' which are sometimes euphemisms for 'too many brunch mimosas'...

Glad he's okay.

If it had been RBG the republicans would have been screaming for her to retire.

Did he fall, or was he pushed. MRF conspiracy theorists want to know.

This was just three days after the DACA ruling and 45 tweeting that "The recent Supreme Court decisions, not only on DACA, Sanctuary Cities, Census, and others, tell you only one thing, we need NEW JUSTICES of the Supreme Court." which some might take to be a threat against the lives of the 9 justices (or maybe just 4-5 of them).

Well, we know that the senate would hold no hearings for replacements since this is an election year. That principle has been established.

Right???

Latest rumble is that retirement before the Fall session is being whispered into Clarence Thomas' ear. Hopefully that whisper will be directed at the ear with hearing difficulty.

A Thomas retirement will only happen after the election, and only if Trump loses. At which point it will be a race to see if the Dems can start a filibuster before the Republicans can put the nuclear option in place.

November and December are potentially going to be the ugliest two months in the nation's legislative history.

He’s only 72. He’ll easily surpass Douglas as the longest serving justice ever.

Uh, I think that ship has sailed.
