"How Jared Kushner's testing plan went poof into thin air"

(sorry if this has already been posted..)

This spring, a team working under the president's son-in-law produced a plan for an aggressive, coordinated national COVID-19 response that could have brought the pandemic under control. So why did the White House spike it in favor of a shambolic 50-state response?

Excellent, detailed research, not behind a paywall. It's obvious that Trump's plan was to blame the Dem governors whose states were first to face the virus - whether his team actually scrapped a national testing plan for that reason?? The source for this story says that is what happened.

Poof ? More like FIRST DEGREE MURDER. Good Grief, can these people get any more disgustingly criminal ?

They should be all tried as bioterrorists, convicted, then stood up against a wall and SHOT. And any actual money or property they have should be seized and given to their victims.

The role of Birx sharing some terrible COVID models will be studied for years.

If JK had pulled off this national testing plan, it would have been one of the few good things I’d heard from him.

Looks like I was not too far off in my early condemnation of 45's plans.

...just because white people are harmed by something doesn't mean it's not racist. Racist practices disproportionately harm people of color, but whites get caught up sometimes, too.)

I had wondered why Republicans allowed the SARS-CoV-2 to spread in the South (and other Republican strongholds) to kill white senior citizens (45 voters). After hearing about Chicago deaths were disproportionately African Americans, I realized they were counting on much higher death rates of that group due to higher presence of multiple risk factors.

are you serious????

They are willing to scare minorities away from answering the Census. That results in deaths because those communities are shortchanged on emergency health care. It's just a small increment from that to letting a disease spread that ravages minority communities.

Percentage of African American Coronavirus-related deaths.
70% - Lousiana (LA Dept. of Health)
50% - Mississippi (MS Emergency Management Agency)
59% - Bronx & Queens (NY Dept of Health)
