It’s astonishing, but not surprising. I’m still too naive to think Republicans in Congress should have done more about MBS and Saudia Arabia. As with Russia, they’ve rendered us as tools for whatever they want done.

No I don’t think it’s “Trump” they value, but their own power they’ve been enjoying for a long time. By not addressing any of it, it never becomes something they care about. What foreign nations do is all some sort of mumbo jumbo abstraction to them unless the oil goes away.

I see this as an example that the Pumpkin Dotard is trying to shore up international support of the US becoming an autocracy from other dictators (Putin, Bonesaw bin Salman, Lukashenko, etc.).
