This time, it's a different female politician who is challenging him - MI Governor Whitmer.

Her responses have been extraordinarily professional.

She needs The Lincoln Project to go low, so she doesn't have to.

EDIT : state corrected.

This time, it's a different female politician who is challenging him - MN Governor Whitmer.

That would be MI Governor Whitmer.

The closer we get to the election, it seems like the more divisive Emperor Orange gets.

Like he's trashing the house before being evicted.

Because that's the only way he can see to win -- to rile folks on his side up enough to stir them into a voting frenzy, where not only will they vote, but will do whatever it takes to make sure that Biden loses and their guy wins ... including voter intimidation / suppression, stuffing the ballot box, hacking the voting machines, whatever. Expect election day chaos.

He's trying to recapture that old 2016 magic. Check out this tweet:

I cannot believe he's pulling out the "Mexico will pay for it" nonsense. He's either desperate or demented.

Trump's the only person in the country who could lose a debate when he's the only one on the stage.

Wow, his twitter thread is ALL trying to reprise 2016, plus his 2020 COVID BS. Laptop - corrupt Biden. Finish Wall (almost done!). COVID numbers in the US are so high because we test more etc.

He's stopped saying Biden is now senile, however.

He’s just trying to get the band back together again. I saw an article yesterday that suggests he has a superstition about doing the exact same thing that worked in the past*.

Dunna think it’s gonna work this time, tho.
.
.

* This wasn’t it, but conveys the sense:

Quote

“Donald Trump is one of the most superstitious men that most people have ever met,” write former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and his former deputy, David Bossie

So, come Nov. 8, 2016, Trump was unprepared to take over the presidency—on purpose, the authors maintain.

Well, that explains some things.

Quote

...From throwing “salt over his shoulder” before a meal and avoiding people with “low energy” because they “carry bad luck,” to calling Fox and Friends each Monday during the primaries “because he didn’t want to change a winning routine,” Trump’s superstitions were guiding forces during his campaign, the book reveals.
